Maria Hansen was engaged as soloist for The Heidelberg Festival only two months after her arrival in Germany. Subsequent engagements were soon forthcoming for this Chicago born artist. Fluency in German coupled with "her radiant voice, charm and magnetism" [Tagespost] quickly led to leading roles in both German and Austrian opera houses.
Ms. Hansen continued to captivate audiences and critics alike in the operas Don Giovanni, Magic Flute, La Boheme, Cosi fan tutte, etc.. In addition to her operatic roles were operetta, concert and oratorio engagements.
Maria is a proud member of The National Association of Teachers of Singing.
